Burrito Stories: Taqueria Pancho Villa

This huge Taqueria on Mission is an awesome place to grab any simple and inexpensive Mexican food item. The ingredients are the best, the selections and the menu is great, and the staff are efficient. The lighting and decor are actually balanced. The place seats over 100 easily and does not look it. They have a separate menu just for vegetarian burritos. Whatever you do, do not order a Baby Burrito (to consume the least quantity of meat) because you find out small is not macho and you are violating a strong cultural norm there. Big is the way to go. Like I care

Christmas Gift Anyone??

What the f#@%$k is this? it looks like a brassknockle but i don’t think it is even a weapon. It should only exist in a video game context and not in the window of a very public shop. It is on sale by the way. How do you even handle this if it was a weapon. It is more of a threat to the user by misuse and mistake than anyone else. It is ridicolous what people sell and buy ordinarily.

Coffeeshop Tales: Philz Coffee

I have no story to tell about Philz Coffee. The make awesome coffee one-cup-at-a-time. As it usually goes with such shops, they are not very good at much else. The furniture at this location looks (but feels better) like was collected from about a dozen different garage sales. The WiFi works good and the lighting and the atmosphere meet the minimum requirements. The coffee is worth a trip to any of their locations. That is about it. Nothing else to offer.
